What is Junior Squash?

We actively encourage juniors from the age of 4 years to play Squash. Juniors are divided into groups and train with others based on ability (and age). We currently run 3 sessions per week for our children to learn and play squash all year round in a friendly and inclusive environment. These are run by England Squash qualified coaches and take place across three term dates.

Our coaching sessions run on Saturday mornings for one hour and either start at 9am or at 10am.

In order to be able to ensure Juniors are training with others who have similar abilities and age, they may be required to attend a one-off sessions so we can suggest the most appropriate group/time subject to availability.

What are the term fees?
Junior Club Membership

The Junior Squash term typically runs for 10 sessions.

We make a conscious effort to ensure that our fees are as accessible as possible where the Club does not make a profit from Junior squash coaching.

All juniors must be members of Aylesbury Squash Club to participate in Junior Squash coaching.

Juniors – £60 per term coaching fee plus membership of around £6 a month

Term payments are made via MMM and will be taken out automatically after the first session attended of each term.

All Juniors who play at the club are required to have a Junior Membership. This can be purchased via Manage My Match (MMM) and costs around £6 a month.

Juniors will benefit from being able to book courts, enter the leagues, access to club events and opportunity to play games outside of junior squash sessions.

Safeguarding

The safety and integrity of children and vulnerable adults Aylesbury Squash Club is of paramount importance. The Club has a dedicated Welfare Officer, who is always available for any safeguarding issues or concerns. John, along with the Squash Committee and Lead Coach ensure that all of our policies are implemented consistently to ensure a safe environment for all. In addition all of our coaches are DBS checked and meet and/or exceed the England Squash safeguarding requirements.

A general gentle reminder, please can parents/guardians ensure ALL juniors (under 19) wear protective eyewear when on the court at ALL times, this includes junior squash, league games and when attending court with parents/guardians. We recommend that all juniors who play on a regular basis purchase their own glasses which can be provided at “cost price” from the bar.
